The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) is carrying a major review of the eligibility criteria that councils use to decide whether or not a person receives help from the council with social care services.
CSCI want your help in carrying out this review by sending them a written submission. The review of the system is important to all ages groups with whom it effects. However, the Older People’s Network (OPeN) will submit an official response on behalf of older people, and hearing from you first hand would help enormously in building an overall picture of how older people perceive the picture as it is in Croydon. Please answer the online poll attached to this buzz or alternatively respond directly to CSCI at the website link below.
Please read the accompanying paper ‘Commission for Social care Inspection review of eligibility criteria’ which provides some background to the review. In answering the questions please write what your experiences are or what services you expect to have access to in the advent of injury or onset of any impairment. Try to tell as much as possible and don’t worry if you think your point differs slightly from the question.
