Make South Vale safe!

South Vale is a residential street in Upper Norwood. It's a narrow street and traffic speeds down, often driving with two wheels on the pavement. Many young children live here, and to try to prevent a very possible tragedy, we are campaigning to make the road (and pavements) safe. We've been trying to find a solution for 11 years now, and it seems ultimately the solution lies with Croydon Council spending money to stop it happening. But they don't want to do that. We even organised a petition which every resident in the street signed, but it's got us nowhere. We've had London Play involved, to explore the idea of a Home Zone, but they've now been closed down (no funding). The council won't even reply to our emails now. We're stuck! Are there residents in other Upper Norwood streets with similar problems, and can we share experiences and knowledge?
