Croydon Metropolitan Centre Area Action Plan Preparation

The London Borough of Croydon has launched the Scoping Report for the Sustainability Appraisal to be undertaken as part of the preparation of the Croydon Metropolitan Centre Area Action Plan.

This consultation document is the first to be produced in preparing the Croydon Metropolitan Centre Action Area Plan which is a Development Plan Document being produced under the new Planning system. It is a Scoping Report which explains why a Sustainability Appraisal (SA) is required; it sets the scene and context for the SA within the Local Development Framework process; it provides the scope, consultation process and timetable for the SA. This document sets out the proposed assessment criteria for measuring the social, economic and environmental effects of the developing Plan which will be used as part of the SA stage and seeks to obtain views as to whether all matters have been identified.

Responding to this Consultation

All comments are welcomed and can be submitted online from the Council's website or returned by any method as indicated below. All responses should be received by Croydon Council by 5pm, Wednesday 14th March 2007.
