Croydon Older People's Network are setting up a buzz to discuss the problems faced by public, residents, health staff, TfL staff and pedestrains in using pedestrian and public transport facilities in and around the Parkway health Centre in New Addington.

Problem one - the bus stop - older people can theoretically use the bus stop for easy access to a drop in centre and avoid crossing the road this is in conflict with residents who claim people have to walk on the road at busy times to avoid ques at the bus stop and anti social behaviour by school children and young people are making life for one resident very difficult.

Problem two - the Parkway medical centre is bizarrely placed at the top end of a dual carriageway with no crossing points serving the immediate location of the centre - the access crossing point is by one route only and the disatance involved in walking to this crossing point would be far too long for many older residents using the centre.

Keep cheching this buzz to see what compromise is made between the local authority, community housing group, TfL, OPeN and Good Samaritans Drop In
