Croydon Disability Forum

We provide an open Forum for ALL people who have a disability or sensory impairment and meet bi-monthly at the Bedford Hall, 72-74 Welesley Road,Croydon CR0 2AR. We want to listen to your views and then provide feedback on a wide range of issues.We also can provide information on a wide range of disability issues,services,products,benefits and legislation.

 We represent the Forum's views on  a wide range of consultative grous, including... Health and Care Forum and are represented on the Social Care and Health Liaison Forum. We have a number of representatives on the Partnership Group for adults with a physical disability or sensory impairment and Chair the Housing and Transport Sub groups. We are procative on the Croydon Mobility Forum. Hospital issues can be raised through our membership of Mayday PPI Forum. We have direct access to Croydon Council officers e.g in Housing and Adult Social Services Dept.

We can provide training support to organisations to fully appreciate DDA and equality issues.

 We become involved in projects to support the inclusion of people who have a disability or sensory impairment. One of our current projects is for disabled people to  become involved in feedback at the early stages of design of wheelchair accessible housing in Croydon. Our key project themes over the years have involved: housing,transport,education,crime,employment and health and social care.

Currently we are proud to be a stakeholder at the Aztec Independent Living Centre, 28 Boulogne Road,Croydon CR0 2QT. Call down on Mondays or Tuesdays (10am to 4pm) and see the wide range of mobility aids and equipment for sale for people with visual and hearing / deaf impairments.
