- How can I add training/resource etc that is not linked to a buzz or structure ?
- For maintenance reasons we are requiring that all content be linked to a Buzz or Structure. If you feel that your content is really important, but can't be linked to a group, you can use our contact form and we can do things for you.
- Who are Talk2croydon?
CVA is the lead and accountable body for Talk2croydon. All three partners jointly act as administrators for Talk2Croydon.
- How can I get involved ?
See what’s already going on by searching the Buzzes and Structures by place, subject or tag. Joining the Buzz is easy! Just click the “Involve me” button and you’re part of the Buzz.
You can then take part in a discussion linked to that Buzz, or add your own.
You can also look for useful info and contacts under resources.
How this site works
- How do I become an organiser and create a stucture?
To become an organiser and create a stucture, we need you to you fill out all the information in your account profile and then apply to become an organiser by using the application form. If approved this status will be changed for you soon after you register.
- Who are "Organisers" ?
- Organisers are people whose work or activities may involve them in seeking the views or involvement of the public. To have organiser status on Talk2Croydon it is necessary to give details of the projects and work which is being undertaken to site admin.
- What is an Involvement Structure ?
- Structures are the mechanisms through which people can give their views and get involved. Mostly these are permanent forums or networks where people meet face-to-face, and are on Talk2Croydon as an extension of their activity. Some will be created only for Talk2Croydon. Involvement Structures may only be posted on Talk2Croydon by ‘organisers’
- What is a Buzz?
- Buzzes are discussions or campaigns which can be created by anyone.

- How do I create a buzz?

- Why does my nice formatting disappear when I paste from Word (or any other editor)?
- For security reasons we limit the kinds of formatting we allow to be posted on the site. Unfortunately this means that you will not be able to paste special formatting into your entries.
- Why can’t I add my event to the site?
- This site is only a community involvement tool. Organisers may have many projects they wish to publicise online, but only platforms and events which aim to collect public opinion or input are suitable for inclusion on Talk2Croydon. If in doubt contact admin.
- How do I add an event to the calendar?
- Events can only be added from Involvement structures by the host of the structure. If you are not a host and want your event posted on the site, please contact admin.
- If I see something I consider to be offensive on the site what should I do?
- If it's in a discussion flag it as offensive. Contact site admin directly if it is elsewhere on the site or in an email sent by a site member directly to you.

- Why do I need to log in ?
- We need to know a little about each of the people taking part. Depending on the amount of information you provide, you will be given access to new levels of site features.

- What is an RSS feed ?
- RSS is a way in which you can keep up to date with what is happening on this website. The BBC has a carefully written explanation on their news site.
