Registering with us

Anyone can view the information on this site, but to get really involved in Talk2Croydon, you need to register with us.

First, choose a username (perhaps your name, the name of your project or something that reflects your interests) and enter your e-mail address. You will then be sent an e-mail containing a password, and a link that will allow you to change your password to something more memorable (if you want to). You will also need to read and accept the Terms and Conditions, and our Privacy policy

Once you’ve registered, you can log into the site at any time by entering your username and password. These are case sensitive. If you forget either of them you can go here http://talk2croydon.com/user/password, enter the e-mail address you signed up with, and your details will be sent to you.

Completing your profile

By completing your profile you can become a Full Member, who can create new Buzzes and post new discussions, videos, images and links to Buzzes.

When you sign in for the first time you will see a message prompt asking you to add your profile information. There are four parts to this page,

  • Profile - Tell us about yourself and what you do and add a link to your site or project. Please make sure you enter the full web address or this link will not work.
  • Account settings – add an image (one that’s smaller than 85x85 pixels and 30KB), set your e-mail preferences and update your username and password,
  • Contact details – your phone number postal address and postcode. This is private and will not be disclosed to the public unless you add it elsewhere.
  • Equal opportunities form – this form is completely private and optional but helps us know whether we’re reaching everyone we should be.

You can add or change this profile information at any time, just by clicking on your username – wherever it appears.
