The PCT is developing its strategy for patient and public involvement. We have a draft strategy called '1000s of everyday conversations' which, if I am clever enough, will be attached here. If I am not clever enough I will find someone from CVA to help me! We would really welcome your comments on the strategy. It's been out since late May and I've been out and about discussing it with loads of people. But I would welcome some online discussion about it - is it sensible, useful, etc. What are the gaps, and where does it need improving?

End of Life Care (EOLC) is a very sensitive area to talk about but is relevent to all of us, as at some point we will all die. For the first time ever this Government has put together a plan for End of Life Care for the whole country. Croydon Primary Care Trust (PCT) using the national strategy as a guidance have now put together their own strategy/ideas for EOLC. This is where you come in. The PCT want your views on their strategy/plan/ideas - what do you think? Maybe you have cared for a dying relative recently and would like to tell the PCT how is was for you, the good and the bad.

Since 1st April while the Existing freedom pass is still valid on All London Buses ,Tramlink, London Underground,London Overground, DLR valid all day for Disabled but over 60,s after 09.00 plus all passes are valid on national rail in London after 09.30 more details from www.freedompass.org NEW NATIONAL CONSESION All Freedom passes with the English Rose are valid on Local buses across England after 09.30 Monday-Friday all day weekends ask operators any comments on the new scheme let me know.

Make South Vale safe!

South Vale is a residential street in Upper Norwood. It's a narrow street and traffic speeds down, often driving with two wheels on the pavement. Many young children live here, and to try to prevent a very possible tragedy, we are campaigning to make the road (and pavements) safe.

Community Allotment Project

The Community Allotment Project is based at Spa Hill Allotment Society, 180 Spa Hill, South Norwood. I am working very closely with the Chairman of Croydon Federation of Allotment and Garden Societies, Peter Newbury who at present is the Chairman of the steering committee for this project. This project aims to grow organically and be an exemplary environmentally friendly project. We want older people who perhaps have never tried growing their own vegetables to get involved in this project. Training will be provided.
