UN Convention on the rights of Persons with Disabilities

In March 2007 the UK Government signed the UN Convention on the ‘Rights of Persons with Disabilities’. The Convention is the first treaty in history to give the millions of disabled people across the globe comprehensive human rights. The UK needs to ratify the Convention before it becomes legally binding. So far, it has not done so. Please encourage the Prime Minister to ratify the Convention without reservations - add your name to the Convention Campaign Coalition's online petition at: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/noreservations/

Since 1st April while the Existing freedom pass is still valid on All London Buses ,Tramlink, London Underground,London Overground, DLR valid all day for Disabled but over 60,s after 09.00 plus all passes are valid on national rail in London after 09.30 more details from www.freedompass.org NEW NATIONAL CONSESION All Freedom passes with the English Rose are valid on Local buses across England after 09.30 Monday-Friday all day weekends ask operators any comments on the new scheme let me know.

We campaign to improve the quality of life for Croydon Mental Health Service Users. Hear Us are in the process of applying for Charity Status and a company limited by guarantee. We are looking for Trustees particularly those that use or have used Croydon's Mental Health Services; to be responsible for making sure that the organisation develops, plans for its future and runs lawfully and effectively. At present there are five Trustees and we are hoping to increase this to ten.
